Creating the Perfect Landing Page

You can have the most targeted campaign and the strongest creative, but if your landing page isn’t up to scratch all your efforts may be wasted! In this blog post, we will share some tips to help you create landing pages that work – increasing your online leads and converting more visitors into customers.

So, how do you go about creating landing pages that really works in 2015?

Here are a few tips you can follow:

  • Pick a good headline - Make it clear to the visitors what they can expect from the landing page the moment they see the headline. This helps you ‘break the ice’ and captures the visitors’ interest from the outset.
  • Add a short description - Instead of making the headline lengthy, write a short description below your headline which highlights what you are offering on your landing page and how visitors can benefit from it, for instance a discount or a free download.
  • Break up the content - make sure you break up the content on your landing pages in digestible blocks of information. Use headings and subheadings and add keywords in them so your landing page can be found in searches on Google and other search engines.
  • Use keywords throughout the landing page to further strengthen the previous point, make sure to use keywords throughout your landing page. Add keywords to the main text, headings, and even the title of the page. Check on Google’s ideal keyword density for landing pages to maximize results.
  • Make your landing pages shareable on social media by adding buttons for different networks. Give your visitors the option to share content and offers from your landing pages on their Facebook, Twitter and other social media profiles with a single click.
  • Use a clear call to action – It is so important to explicitly tell visitors what it is that you want them to do. Make sure the headline and the calls to action are in sync so the landing page offers a seamless and coherent user experience to all visitors.
  • Easy to navigate – the user experience reminds us of the importance of making your landing pages easy to navigate. You have to ensure the visitors can get from one part to the next without being caught up on the way or losing interest.
  • Incorporate a form - Capture the visitors’ information while they are thinking of buying from you and you have a good chance of turning them into long-term customers, as well as getting further insight from them that can be used in lead nurturing campaigns.

In addition to the points mentioned above, be sure to keep you landing pages clutter-free. Text, imagesand other elements should be spaced out and look appealing and mindfully placed to the eye as well as capture the attention of the visitors. And don’t forget to test your landing pages and update them as you gain more knowledge of what works.

Good luck with your next landing page!
